Many years ago (1977), in a galaxy far, far away (Williamstown, New Jersey), EARTHRISE recorded their first album, a collection of original musical works that shook the world! With titles like EARTHRISE and NEW CLEAR DAWN, their music reflected the state of the world (and their minds) at that time. They formed their own record label, Arceden Music, and began to market the album in local music stores, but gave most of them away to friends and family in a shameless self-promotion ploy. EARTHRISE's initial batch of vinyl records (remember them?) were quickly depleted, but the loss of their master tapes in a horrible, disfiguring accident (actually, they were misplaced) prevented the band from pressing further copies to satisfy the demands of the masses. EARTHRISE disbanded shortly after the release of their debut album, but over the past twenty years, the EARTHRISE album has grown into what might be called cult status, sought after by record dealers and collectors nationwide. Few copies of the original album exist, still in the original shrink-wrapping, and those that do, fetch a pretty penny in the record world. It was the cries of these music enthusiasts that persuaded the members of EARTHRISE to reform after twenty years and return to the studio to record more of their ground breaking original music that the world so desperately needed. This recording project will result in EARTHRISE's second album, dubbed DAY TWO, currently underway. You can track the progress of the DAY TWO project at this website, along with photos and information about the individual band members, their recording facilities, song lyrics, and even download sound bytes of the music that will be included on the new album. EARTHRISE DAY TWO will be available for purchase on CD at this website when the album is completed.
